As a Graduate Intern, I will recommend the Hub's resources to those that would greatly benefit and provide hospitality to students, acting as an effective advocate for the Hub. My management tasks, such as creating meetings, training, and other activities, will help the Student Leader Program (SLP) students feel more supported in their roles, which will allow for optimal outreach and coaching.
I believe in the liberal arts because they facilitate one's critical thinking and understanding of how the world has come to be. Despite my future career plans growing more STEM-oriented, the strong communication skills I have nurtured through my liberal arts degree will still prove valuable. Also, the skills to consider varied narratives and perspectives in the media are helpful in all avenues of life outside a career.
