To get the most out of LSA Connect, it is important to be active and engaged! This means asking questions, reaching out to alums to form connections, and keeping up with commitments to mentors. Members of LSA Connect have joined the platform to support you, so don’t be afraid to reach out!

It’s okay if you don’t know what to say

Reaching out to alums can be intimidating at first, but whether you are exploring a career, need help deciding which major to choose, or are seeking advice on a job or internship search, we have created templates to streamline this process and take away some of the stress. Additionally, there are resources on LSA Connect to help get this process started.

When posting in the discussion, be sure to ask open-ended questions. Remember that you’re not the only one trying to figure out your career path and other students may share your question!

Take advantage of all of the features on LSA Connect 

If you are still waiting for a mentor to respond, or simply have not found a good match, you can still ask questions on discussion boards and join groups to get more specialized resources and a more intimate community.
