Professor Duffy is an expert in the ecology and evolution of host-parasite interactions, with a particular focus on freshwater systems. She recently penned an op-ed for Ensia, in which she describes the costs society endures as a result of water pollution

Three additional members of LSA's faculty will also be in attendance at the March for Science. They are:

  • Michael Heaney, assistant professor of organizational studies and political science, who will survey march participants.
  • John Vandermeer, professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
  • Tim McKay, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Physics, Astronomy, and Education, and director of the Digital Innovation Greenhouse in the Office of Academic Innovation.

LSA Magazine also recently profiled another speaker and honorary co-chair of the March for Science, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha (B.S. ’98, M.P.H. ’08).
