B.G.S. 1978President and CEO, The Dominion Asset Group / Board member
Teresa M. Sebastian is the President and CEO of The Dominion Asset Group, an angel investment firm. She serves on the Boards of The AES Corporation, an energy company; Kaiser Aluminum Corporation, a manufacturing company; and Peckham Industries, Inc., a paving materials supplier. She also serves on the advisory board of Assemble Sound LLC, a music company. Previously, she served as SVP at Darden Restaurants, Inc; VP at Veyance Technologies, Inc.; SVP at Information Resources, Inc.; and earlier positions in energy and finance at various companies. She is also the author of the historical fiction novel, Lost Seeds - The Beginning trilogy.
Ms. Sebastian is an adjunct faculty at the U-M Law School and Vanderbilt University Law School. Among other non-profits, she serves in leadership positions at the United Negro College Fund, the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the National Association of Corporate Directors, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership Council at U-M. Beyond being an alumna of the University of Michigan, she holds an MBA from the University of North Florida, a Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University College of Law and a Master of Laws degree from Wayne State University Law School. Ms. Sebastian is the recipient of numerous awards including the David B. Hermelin Award for Fundraising Volunteer Leadership, Honoree of the 2023 National Association of Corporate Directors Directorship 100, and was honored to be featured in DBusiness Magazine.
Being a graduate of the LSA with a focus on sociology expanded Ms. Sebastian’s horizons and lent to her broad strategic approach to business and understanding that in order to be successful, how you impact people and community is primary. Outside of work, Teresa enjoys spending time writing, gardening, and with her husband, Steven Tunis, her two children, Simone Sebastian and George Tunis, and her granddaughter Amaya.
I chose to serve on the DAC to enhance students' academic and social experience on U-M's campus, especially minority and students of color, to contribute to the students' financial capability while attending U-M, and to assure that these students receive the nurturing and safe environment I felt as a student.
