Seyonne is a partner at StepStone Group, focusing on venture capital and growth equity investments. Prior to StepStone, Seyonne was a partner with Greenspring Associates, a venture capital and growth equity investment firm that merged with StepStone in 2021. Seyonne holds board/observer seats at several early and growth stage portfolio companies, in addition to serving on many advisory committees for early stage venture capital funds. Prior to Greenspring, Seyonne spent seven years in investment management firms with particular expertise in private capital. Before moving into investment management, Seyonne spent about a decade on Wall Street in equity research covering software stocks, as well as equity capital markets distribution of IPOs, follow-on offerings, convertible financings and research, most recently at Morgan Stanley. She earned an AB with honors from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. Seyonne serves as a member of the Finance and Audit Committees of Castilleja School and as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council Executive Committee for the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. Seyonne lives in California, has a husband and three children, and loves travel, karaoke and the Buffalo Bills.
I serve on the DAC because (1) I attended Michigan largely on scholarship and (2) I believe that LSA prepared me very well for a career on Wall Street and in investment management, despite the conventional wisdom about the value of a liberal arts degree in such environments.
