A.B. Economics, 1984Executive Director, Morgan Stanley
Jordan is currently an Executive Director and Private Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley in New York City. His role is to manage the wealth of his clients with a focus on asset allocation and financial planning. Prior to this position, he was the manager of the Equity Syndicate Desk at Kidder Peabody, where he was responsible for the marketing, sale, and distribution of initial public offerings and secondary offerings. In 2008, he was recognized by Registered Rep Magazine as one of America's top 100 Investment Advisors with $1 billion under management. From 2018 to 2022, he was named to Forbes Magazine's/SHOOK America's Best-in-State Wealth Advisor. In the past, he has supported and volunteered for The United Jewish Appeal (UJA), Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, The Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), and The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN).
He previously served on the University of Michigan's Economic Leadership Council, and holds an MBA in Finance from Fordham University. As an economics major, Jordan has found that his knowledge of how the economy functions plays a critical part in his ability to analyze and understand the financial markets. It has provided the bridge to link all of the aspects of his clients' wealth management.
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys exploring NYC, boating, sports, exercise, and spending time with friends and family. He also holds a black belt in mixed martial arts. Jordan is married to his wife, Kim, and has two adult sons, Ben (27) and Joey (25). They all live in New York City.
Serving on DAC seemed like a clear next step to increasing my involvement with the University of Michigan following my service on the Economic Leadership Council. It has provided the opportunity to address the most critical issues and needs facing the university and the student body.
