LSA 2008Vice President, Goldman Sachs
Gabriel LaPrairie is a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he has worked for more than 15 years. During his tenure, he has served in a variety of capacities spanning financial research, risk and liquidity management, regulatory engagement, engineering, and financial reporting. He has also served as chair of the Salt Lake City office’s Environmental Group, leading initiatives to raise employee awareness of environmental issues affecting Utah and encourage engagement with organizations working to address them.
In addition, Gabriel serves as Board Chairman of Dagbé, a nonprofit organization supporting vulnerable children in Benin, West Africa. Through partnerships with local care providers, Dagbé helps children access housing, food, education, and healthcare. He has chaired the organization’s board since September 2011 and served on the Michigan in Washington Program’s Advisory Board since October 2016.
Gabriel attended the University of Michigan from 2004-2008 where he studied Kinesiology and Economics.
My years at the University of Michigan were transformative and showed me the value of a rigorous, well‑rounded liberal arts education. Through the Dean’s Advisory Council, I’m thrilled to support the Dean and her colleagues as they work to strengthen and grow LSA and expand its ability to positively impact students’ lives now and in years to come.
