A.B. Organizational Studies, 2001Happiness Coach
Brandi Hudson, an accomplished Happiness Coach and Motivational Speaker, brings two decades of leadership experience in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, managing over $250 million in revenue for Fortune 500 companies like Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Eli Lilly, and Pfizer.
Her journey into motivational speaking and happiness coaching began when she noticed a vital missing element among high-achievers. She founded Brandi Mechele to shift the focus from success to happiness, working closely with clients in transformative self-discovery.
Brandi is a staunch advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, notably founding The Raise: Generations of Black Excellence at the University of Michigan in 2021. She’s actively engaged with organizations like the Tipping Point Community and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Beyond her career, Brandi is an accomplished athlete, setting records on U-M’s Varsity Track and Field team and competing in the 2000 Olympic Trials. She holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and studied strategy and finance at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
In her leisure time, Brandi enjoys reading, nature, and quality moments with her son, Charlie. She’s happily married to venture capitalist Charles Hudson III, and they reside in San Francisco, CA
I chose to serve on the DAC because my own time in LSA had a lasting impact, not just during my years on campus but in the years that have followed. I'm particularly interested in thought-partnering on ways to ensure that students from a variety of backgrounds have the opportunity to receive an enriching experience. Considering the multitude of students in LSA studying subjects that have the potential to contribute significantly to society, I feel compelled and grateful to offer my support in any way possible.
