Our coordinators are eager to make real connections with fellow members of the LSA community. Their goal is to collect meaningful insights from alumni and parents, while providing updates on the dean’s priorities and the current state of the college. College Connections coordinators also provide information on engagement opportunities and ways to support LSA.
Brooke Hudson (she/her) graduated from LSA in May 2023 with an A.B. in Psychology. She is a Detroit native and an alumna of University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe Woods. During her time at LSA, Brooke was an Alumni Association LEAD scholar and a recipient of the Mitchell and Shirley Raskin Scholarship. Brooke held a variety of positions at the university as a dental school barista, student coordinator at Oxford, program assistant in the Office of Housing and Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, user experience design intern for LSA, and computer consultant for Information Technology Services. In all of her roles, Brooke was able to give back to the UM community while gaining valuable professional experience. She is also a member, resident, and officer in Ann Arbor’s Inter-Cooperative Council, where she manages finances for Sojourner Truth House and stays engaged with U-M students, parents, and alumni. In her spare time, Brooke loves to meet new people and try out new restaurants in downtown Ann Arbor.
Shelby Sieler (she/her) graduated from Eastern Michigan University in May 2021 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and minors in Reading and Language Arts Groups. She was born in South Korea and adopted and raised in Three Oaks, Michigan. During her time at EMU, Shelby worked as an Undergraduate Assistant in the Office of Wellness and Community Responsibility and was also a new student orientation leader. After receiving her degree, Shelby continued to work in schools for a year before following her passion for education work to an internship at local nonprofit: 826michigan. Before becoming an Annual Giving Officer, Shelby was an Administrative Project Coordinator for two years, assisting development teams with design, writing, and project management to further LSA Advancement’s mission of being a champion of the liberal arts. In her spare time, Shelby is a Michigander through and through: Sailing on Lake Michigan in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and camping whenever she can in between. She is excited to travel and meet with the LSA community, explore cities, and hunt down the best bites throughout the Eastern States.
Trevor Jones (he/him) graduated from LSA in 2019 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Law, Justice, and Social Change. He grew up in Northern Michigan and was the first in his family to go to college after receiving the Michigan Experience Scholarship for high-need, first-generation college students. While attending classes, Trevor worked at local Ann Arbor favorite, Washtenaw Dairy, scooping ice cream while also managing the business’s social media presence, and later developed an interest in fundraising while working as a Finance Intern on a federal congressional campaign. After receiving his degree, Trevor went on to lead several political campaigns from the local to the federal level, raising more than $6 million for women-led, grassroots campaigns across the country. Trevor met his now fiancé on U-M’s campus, and outside of work, enjoys working out, adding to his vinyl collection, and spending time with his rescue pets and family.
