A Workshop on Wendy Artin's Engagement with the Classical Past

This event is presented in conjunction with Phase II of Rocks, Paper, Memory: Wendy Artin's Watercolor Paintings of Ancient Sculptures, showing in Newberry Hall. 

An academic workshop featuring four distinguished scholars discussing key themes of the exhibition.  Speakers: Richard Neer (William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor of Art History, Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago), Alexander Potts (Max Loehr Collegiate Professor of History of Art at UM), Gillian White (Associate Professor of English Language and Literature at UM), and James Cogswell (Arthur F. Thurnau Professor, School of Art & Design at UM). Following these presentations will be a roundtable discussion with Christopher Ratté as moderator.
