"Jackal Songs": A Musical Performance

A musical offering presented in conjunction with the exhibition "Dead Dogs: The Jackal Gods of Ancient Egypt" at the Kelsey Museum.

Mezzo-soprano Deanna Relyea will sing from the ancient Egyptian Book of Coming Forth by Day (also known as the Book of the Dead),interlaced with modern poems by Wislawa Szymborska and Erica Wright. Music staging by Piotr Michalowski (bass and contra alto clarinets, sopranino saxophone) and James Cornish (trumpet). Also playing will be Abby Alwin (cello), Ben Willis (double bass), and Jordan Shug (double bass).

Performance begins promptly at 6:30 pm, with reception following.
