Docent Open House

Tuesday, June 17, 2014
4:00 AM
Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, 434 South State, Ann Arbor

Have you ever wondered what life was really like in Roman Pompeii, or how ancient Egyptians made their mummies? Interested in archaeology and enjoy working with people?

Now is your opportunity to get involved. The Kelsey Museum is currently recruiting volunteers for its fall Docent Training Class. After training, volunteer docents lead museum tours and continue to meet twice a week with other docents for ongoing training. Classes begin in early September 2014 and continue through mid-May 2015.

Interested applicants should contact Cathy Person (cperson@umich.edu or 734.647.0441) and/or attend this open house. At the Docent Open House, you’ll meet current docents and learn about their vital role at the Kelsey Museum. Don’t miss this chance to work behind-the-scenes at one of Michigan’s most unusual resources.
