Ryland Lambert is a current student of the anthropology doctoral program (entered fall 2025) and was awarded the Rackham Merit Fellowship. He is in the biological anthropology subfield, specializing in the relationship between hormones and the human skeleton. He is also a member of Dr. Maureen Devlin's Skeletal Biology Laboratory. His future disseration research will focus on how the bones of transgender and gender diverse individuals develop while undergoing cross-sex hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Lastly, Ryland is a proud former member of the Eastern Michigan University McNair Scholars Program, which was the organization that supported and published his first formal research study.
