Psychology for Service Learning Fund
Thanks to a generous donation by Rich and Gwen Schwabauer a new fund was created for service learning opportunities for undergraduate students in psychology. Rich Schwabauer is the owner of NBS Commercial Interiors in the Detroit area.
This fund provides support for undergraduate students exploring career interests in community service with particular populations. The fund allows the Psychology Department to partner with community support programs in Detroit and Washtenaw County, as well as community schools at which Psychology Department undergraduates mentor and tutor children from troubled circumstances.
Gifts to this fund will allow the department to continue to provide undergraduates with the opportunity to explore careers in community service while implementing programs that are proven to make a difference in the lives of children and other populations in the community.
