Innovation is everywhere and in almost everything that we encounter, but getting there can be a challenge.
Brandon has dedicated his career to working in innovative environments. He will share his stories and insights of where the pursuit of innovation has taken him, having worked in scientific research, with high tech startups, and with venture capital investors.
He will also discuss topics like “What is innovation?” “How do you get paid to innovate?” and more.
Currently, Brandon is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Detroit Innovate (an early-stage venture capital fund), an Adjunct Research Faculty Member of the Emergency Medicine Department at the University of Michigan, and also teaches the Entrepreneurship Practicum for the Center For Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan.
Brandon was an applied physics student at UM from 2002-2007 and then was a postdoc in Professor Roy Clarke's lab. He has performed award-winning research and formed two startup compa in the life science areas.
