Speaker: Jorge Russo (Barcelona and Perimeter)
We consider different five dimensional N=2 gauged supergravity models coupled to one hypermultiplet. We show that they can be embedded in the maximal N=8 supergravity. They provide a simple setup to study 4d holographic superconductivity within a “top-down" approach. We find black hole solutions with scalar hair that holographically describe U(1) spontaneous symmetry breaking on the field theory by second-order phase transitions. The results shed new light on the phase diagram of strongly coupled N=4 SU(N) super Yang-Mills with fixed charge densities.
