Speaker: Alan Grafe, Dept of Computer Science, Engineering and Physics (U-M Flint)
This seminar is open to graduates as well as undergraduates. Pizza and drinks provided.
Dr. Grafe will discuss his career path, and the skills necessary for success in an academic career at a small public university. Having served on several search committees, he will also give an insider’s view of the hiring process, giving tips on such things as how to prepare for your interviews.
Dr. Grafe is a 1995 Ph.D. graduate from the UM Physics Department. His thesis was entitled, Absolute Differential Electron-Impact Cross Sections of Atomic Hydrogen: Elastic and n=2 Excitation Scattering.
