Ben Ewy is the VP of Global Product Design at Carhartt, a 134 year old workwear brand located in Metro Detroit. In his role, he guides the company’s humanity-centered design process, creating industry-leading apparel and accessories. Previously, he was Creative Director at New Era Cap Co., and Director of Global Inspiration at Nautica / VF.
Ben graduated from the University of Michigan, with a degree in Honors Literature. He also has an Associate's Degree in Apparel Design from The Parsons School of Design in NY, New York.
Sneakers are one of Ben’s many passions. He taught a class on Sneaker Culture at Buffalo State University and has lectured on the topic several times, including at the Toledo Museum of Art. He is a proud father and husband and calls his kids “his most rewarding design project”. To keep this all in balance, he has a daily yoga and meditation practice.
