Siwei Chen (Ph.D. 2015) received multiple awards at the 2015 American Sociological Association Conference that was held recently in Chicago. All of the awards were for her recent paper "A Life Course Trajectory Framework for Understanding the Intracohort Pattern of Wage Inequality", which appeared in the American Journal of Sociology.
- Sociology of Aging and the Life Course Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award
- The Section on Inequality, Poverty and Mobility Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award
- The Methodology Section’s Clifford Clogg Award for Best Graduate Student Paper
This fall, Siwei has joined the faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles as an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology.
