Sarah Moss, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Michigan, has won the 2019 Marc Sanders Prize in Epistemology.  Awarded every other year, the Sanders Prize honors original research in epistemology by a scholar who has received a PhD within the past fifteen years, or is currently enrolled in a graduate program.

Her winning essay, "Knowledge and Legal Proof," will be published in Oxford Studies in Epistemology, an essay collection published biennially.

Shortly before the Sanders Prize announcement, Moss also received honorable mention in the American Philosophical Association's 2019 Book Prize competition for her book, Probabilistic Knowledge.
