With the help of a crew of UM Philosophy graduate students, Michigan's regional High School Ethics Bowl is off the ground. Four high schools (some of which fielded 2 teams) are committed---enough to send the winner to the national competition. Jeanine DeLay and her colleagues at A2Ethics.org have been working with our graduate students Jonathan Shaheen, Kimberly Chuang, J. Dmitri Gallow, Zoe Johnson King, Umer Shaikh, and Robin Zheng on the effort. Matt Deaton from the Squire Family Foundation has participated as well. Zoe, Kimberly, Robin, and Jon also collaborated on the letter of interest (the first step) for an Arts of Citizenship Graduate Student Grant in Public Scholarship to support continuing work on the Ethics Bowl. Good luck to them!
