Prizes

The Department has several prizes which it awards to graduate students for outstanding achievement:

• The Cornwell Prize for general excellence
• The Dewey Prize for excellence in teaching
• The Stevenson Prize for excellence in a dossier
• The Weinberg Summer Fellowship for achievement in the second year of study
• The Marshall M. Weinberg Dissertation Fellowship for achievement in their first five years of study
• The DEI Prize in recognition of outstanding work to advance our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mission
• The SPLICE Prize for leadership in co-curricular enrichment

The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies also distributes its own awards.
