Thomas Spencer Jerome (1864-1914) was the benefactor of the Jerome Lectures at the University of Michigan and American Academy in Rome, a well-known lecture series in Classical Studies, but his involvement in classical archaeology is otherwise not so widely known. This brief study draws on archives now housed in the Kelsey Museum to trace Jerome's active involvement with a number of classical sites in Italy, including Misenum, Baiae.
