The Kelsey Welcomes New Assistant Exhibition Designer Eric Campbell
We are pleased to welcome Eric Campbell as the new assistant exhibition designer at the Kelsey Museum. Eric was educated at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he focused on graphic design and illustration. He has accumulated over a decade of professional creative experience and brings a unique and unexpected approach to visual storytelling. As a multi-disciplinary artist, he is skilled in creating a wide array of media, from the traditional to the experimental. He has been deeply interested in archaeology from a young age and is excited to use his talents to further the public’s understanding of our shared past.
Eric has been at the Kelsey since early June, and with the Graffiti as Devotion special exhibition scheduled to open in late August, he hit the ground running. Working in consultation with the exhibition co-curators Geoff Emberling and Suzanne Davis, Eric and long-time museum exhibition coordinator Scott Meier worked nonstop to finalize and implement the show's design. The results are stunning, and Eric's artistic skills can be seen not only in the special exhibition gallery itself, but also in the coordinating materials such as display banners outside the Kelsey, print advertisements, brochures, and the cover of the exhibition catalog, all of which have a clean, modern feel.
We are thrilled to have Eric aboard and are looking forward to seeing his future design work.
