We are pleased to share the news that Peter Knoop accepted the Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) award on behalf of LSA IT at this year’s annual Esri User Conference. Esri is a global leader in spatial analytics, and the SAG award is meant to show appreciation for organizations that are using GIS to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges.

Peter is a vital member of the Information Technology team at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and he collaborates with the Kelsey Museum on technological aspects of our field projects and special exhibitions. Peter also provides “office hours” for the Kelsey every Monday morning where we can consult with him about anything tech-related. He is a tremendous asset to the College and to the University, and a valuable colleague to the Kelsey. Congratulations to Peter and the entire LSA IT team!
