What is Giving Blueday? It’s the University of Michigan’s 24-hour celebration of giving—a once-a-year opportunity for the global U-M community to come together in support of programs and causes they care most about. Since it began in 2014, Giving Blueday has evolved into an important vehicle for developing fundraising skills and instilling a culture of philanthropy on campus, with student participation growing every year.
Donors can make gifts supporting students, organizations, and programs across all three U-M campuses and Michigan Medicine. Last year, Giving Blueday donors raised more than $4.2 million, providing critical funding across the university, including support for more than 160 student organizations.
Between now and March 10, those who share the Giving Blueday video and use the hashtag #GivingBlueday will be entered into a drawing to receive $1,000 for the fund of their choice. View other university challenges and matches on the Giving Blueday website.
Please consider making a donation to the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology.
The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology supports teaching and research on Classical, Egyptian, and Near Eastern archaeology through stewardship of its rich collections, an active exhibitions program, and sponsorship of ongoing field research. The Kelsey houses a collection of more than 100,000 artifacts, of which approximately 1,500 are on permanent display; in addition, the museum mounts special exhibitions annually. As an exhibit museum at a public university, the Kelsey embraces a vigorous public outreach mission, engaging with local residents and visitors of all ages. It also serves as the headquarters of the University of Michigan’s graduate program in Classical Art and Archaeology.
