The Kelsey enhances academic rigor at the University of Michigan by providing unique artifacts for exploration and immersive learning opportunities. Students can engage with the ancient world through a variety of activities—from class visits and research projects to internships and fieldwork across the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East. These unparalleled experiences connect students to ancient cultures, foster inquiry into the human experience, and help students understand the past to make informed choices for the future.
