The Kelsey Museum’s Kozma Lecture will take place in the Rackham Amphitheatre on Thursday, September 4, at 6:30 PM. Guest speaker Elizabeth M. Greene (University of Western Ontario) will discuss the extensive assemblage of organic materials found at the site of Vindolanda in northern England. While these objects paint a clearer picture of life in the Roman world, their very existence faces increasing threats from climate change. This free, public lecture explores not only the current work at Vindolanda but also the steps researchers are taking to understand and assess the impacts of a changing environment on archaeological remains.
