Virtual Saturday Sampler Tour | Ancient Egyptian Amulets at the Kelsey Museum

The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology has a large collection of Egyptian amulets, both on display and in collections storage. Most are so tiny—less than one inch tall—that they're hard to see during in-person tours, or even during a regular visit to the Kelsey. In this tour, we take advantage of the virtual format to get a detailed look at some of these amazing artifacts. We consider their purpose and discuss why ancient Egyptians wanted to be buried with them.
