Join us for this month’s “Read and Look” program, centered around
A Child’s Introduction to Egyptology (2021)—written by Heather Alexander with illustrations by Sara Mulvanny. This book introduces children to ancient Egypt through its mummies, pyramids, pharaohs, gods, and goddesses, covering topics from the building of the pyramids to the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb and profiles of figures like Ra, Isis, Ramses II, and Nefertiti. It’s an illustrated guide that takes young readers on a journey through this ancient society, explaining its history, mythology, and key figures.
The Kelsey’s Read and Look program is geared toward our younger visitors, ages 4–8.
