The Kelsey Museum’s collection provides a window into the daily lives and diverse communities of the ancient Roman world. In this tour, docent Robin Little will present an overview of our Roman galleries, including inscriptions, wall paintings, funerary artifacts, and other key objects that tell us much about the everyday experience of people in ancient Rome and its outlying regions. We will also make a special stop at our newest Kelsey in Focus display, “Gladiators: Life in the Arena,” to learn how these athletes fit into Roman society.
