Chen Liang
Chen is a first year in the Honors College looking to major in politics, philosophy, and economics. She graduated with Highest Distinction in 2014 from Beijing No. 4 High School, Beijing, China. She was an active leader in her high school and continues her interest in research and philosophy through the clubs here at the University of Michigan and in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP). Inspired by her coursework and this essay, Chen is spending this summer traveling in Israel.
