Bio: Hello! My name is Kai Carter, and I'm a junior in the Max Kade Haus. I love linguistics and translation, and I've been learning German for seven years. I spent this last year in Freiburg, Germany, with the Academic Year in Freiburg program. I received a DSH language exam certificate, and I intend to go back to Freiburg for my Masters degree. I also started learning Japanese my freshman year, have a cat named Toya, and am very involved in the arts, from flute in the University Band to theater, singing and painting. I love kayaking, hiking, biking, and stand up paddle board.
This year I am volunteering with the German Department as a DAAD Youth Ambassador. I am happy to address any and all questions about major/minor planning, opportunities within and beyond the department, study abroad, language learning, or anything else I can help with.
