LSA Professor and Graduate Student to Present at NeMLA
Two members of the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures will present at the 49th Northeast Modern Language Association Annual Convention April 12-15, 2018, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The theme for this year's conference is "Global Spaces, Local Landscapes and Imagined Worlds."
Associate Professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures Peter McIsaac will present on Dubravka Ugrešić's Museum of Unconditional Surrender as part of the "The Yugoslav Wars in German-language Literature and Film: Memory, Trauma, Belonging" panel.
PhD student Elizabeth McNeill will present on Charlotte von Mahlsdorf's Haus-Frau and Curational Translation during the "Translation as Resistance: Translation as Cosmopolitan Practice" seminar.
Other U-M participants include Lauren Benjamin (Comparative Literature), Aliyah Khan (DAAS and English), and Srdjan Cvjeticanin (Comparative Literature).
