Kathryn Sederberg receives Honorable Mention for Dissertation
Congratulations to Dr. Kathryn Sederberg, who received honorable mention in the 2014 ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award competition. Kathryn, who currently holds a visiting assistant professorship in German at Bowdoin College, defended her dissertation on “Germany’s Rubble Texts: Writing History in the Present, 1943-1951” last year to great acclaim. The dissertation was chaired by Julia Hell, with Kerstin Barndt, Andreas Gailus and Johannes von Moltke serving as members of the committee.
