University Diversity and Social Transformation Professor and Professor of Psychology Stephanie Fryberg investigates the ways in which the experiences and portrayals of Native people influence their self-perception, educational attainment, and psychological well-being. She co-led a team that compiled and analyzed data from the largest, most comprehensive research project ever conducted in Indian Country, the first annual Indigenous Futures Survey, which was released in 2020. She leads the Culture Collaboratory at U-M, which explores the ways culture influences individuals.
