Michigan Goes to Washington
For potential interns looking to simply push around papers or fetch coffee, LSA’s Michigan in Washington (MIW) is not their program. Instead, MIW students live in Washington, D.C., and intern at places as diverse and prestigious as the Department of Justice, the French Embassy, and the Earth Day Foundation—all while working with a mentor who is a U-M graduate, and producing meaningful research in a topic of their interest.
Under the guidance of Director Edie Goldenberg, Michigan in Washington is now entering its ninth year of helping students have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to live, work, and experience life in the nation’s capital.
