About
Magda Duck is an incoming dual-degree student pursuing a Master of Public Policy (MPP) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Chinese Studies. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a minor in Chinese Studies.
Since graduating, Magda has been employed at Due East Advisors, a small consulting firm based in Detroit, Michigan helping facilitate East Asian and Southeast Asian investment into the State of Michigan.
Through her work at Due East Advisors, Magda has gained significant exposure to the electric vehicle, battery, and solar technology sectors, and has become interested in the ongoing disputes between the U.S. and China in these industries.
Her current research interests focus on U.S. industrial policy and energy policy, particularly within the context of the U.S.-China relationship.
