About
Arnela Lela Bogdanić is an aspiring scholar pursuing a Masters in International and Regional Studies specializing in Islamic Studies. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science: International Relations and Religion from Central Michigan University and a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Arnela's research interests include Islamic theology, philosophy, mysticism, and a particular emphasis on Muslim identity and self-determination, focusing on the Bosniak ethnic group. Arnela has worked in university housing professionally since 2015, focusing on diversity education, social justice, and inclusion. Ultimately, Arnela aims to integrate her professional experience in student affairs with her academic studies to develop and provide resources on university campuses that support Muslim and MENA students' diverse perspectives and experiences and promote inclusive and equitable environments for all students.
