Sekepe Matjila and Keith Taylor will talk about the translation of Setswana poetry by LD Raditladi, who combines indigenous African and Western influences in his poems.  Matjila is Director of the Center for Pan South African Languages and Cultural Development at the University of South Africa (UNISA).  Keith Taylor, Director of the Creative Writing Program at UM, is an active poet and award- winning translator.  Co-sponsored by the Department of Comparative Literature and the African Studies Center.
