This was a banner year for Modern Greek studies, and Literature's Refuge was chosen from out of 20 innovative entries, spanning all academic disciplines and periods, from anthropology to literature to history, from the Ottoman era to contemporary Greece.
Earlier this year, Literature's Refuge was recognized with a High Commendation in Book History from SHARP (The Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing), and the Best Book in Mediterranean Studies, by the Mediterranean Seminar.
