Professor Sara Forsdyke is one of three distinguished faculty to present at LSA Collegiate Lecture Series
Ancient Athens is famous for its invention of democracy. Less well-known is the fact that the ancient Athenians created a sophisticated system for trial by jury. This lecture will highlight the unusual features of the Athenian jury system and explore what we can learn from them.
Join us in person for this three-person public lecture event in Weiser Hall, 10th Floor, Monday, February 17, 4-5:30 pm. You may also join virtually on Zoom.
Also presenting during this event are Professor Petra Kuppers, the Anita Gonzalez Collegiate Professor of Performance Studies and Disability Culture, " Disability Culture’s Altered States: Pain, Suspension, and Materiality" and Professor Jon M. Miller, the Douglas Richstone Collegiate Professor of Astronomy, "A New View of Black Holes."
