Professor Andrea Berlin was chosen to receive the AIA gold medal in 2025 for Distinguished Archaeological Achievement from the Archaeological Institute of America, which is the most prestigious honor in the field of archaeology. She graduated from IPCAA in 1988 and has continued to work with University of Michigan students ever since—at Tel Anafa, Kedesh, Coptos, and now (since 2016) at Notion, where she is the Senior Ceramic Specialist.
