Justin Anderson

Justin Anderson is a Queue Observer at MDM Observatory, executing observational programs across the 2.4m Hiltner and 1.3m McGraw-Hill telescopes for the consortium. His work spans optical/IR instrumentation,  transient follow-up, and hardware integration, including fiber positioners for SDSS-V. His research focuses on high-energy transients, optical supernova remnants, and stellar astrophysics.

Anderson has been at MDM since 2024. Prior to that, he served as a Research Associate at Ohio State reworking, engineering, and integrating robotic fiber positioners. He holds a bachelors in astronomy and astrophysics from the Ohio State University, Columbus OH.
