What are diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and how do these critical considerations show up in the work of members of the Department of Psychology? The Diversity Committee takes up these questions in an initiative called “This Is DEI.” These brief interviews feature the research, teaching and service of students and faculty who are engaged in the work of understanding human diversity and issues of equity and justice. They demonstrate the range of ways that we as a community study and teach about identities, history, power, access, discrimination, and justice. The interviews also spotlight the volunteer and advocacy work of members of our community.
