About
As a Ph.D. Candidate in the joint History and Women's and Gender Studies program, my interests include gendered confinement and resistance in carceral spaces. My undergraduate work as a Haas Scholar focused on the history of women's imprisonment and the administration of mental health care in California jails and prisons, from confinement in state psychiatric hospitals to deinstitutionalization and U.S. mass imprisonment. I am also a contributing member of the Carceral State Project, Conditions of Confinement team.
