About
Silvia's research interests are focused on the experiences of food service and farm workers, or this sector identified as essential work during COVID-19. Specifically looking into the impact of intersectional identities of race, socioeconomic status, immigration status, and gender to measure the impact of work demands on their mental and physical health in long-term workers.
Prior to joining the joint PhD program in Psychology and Women's and Gender Studies, Silvia completed a B.S. in Cognitive Sciences, B.A. in Gender and Sexuality studies with a minor in Education at the University of California, Irvine.
