About
Attorney Ed Goldman works in the U-M Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on women's rights issues. From 1978 to 2009 he was head of the Health System Legal Office and a Deputy General Counsel for the University. In addition to Women's and Gender Studies, he has teaching appointments in the Medical School, School of Public Health and Law School.
In 2013 Professor Goldman and colleagues organized a Michigan Meeting seminar through the Rackham Graduate School. The seminar, Reproductive Justice: Activists, Advocates, Academics in Ann Arbor, brought advocates, activists and academics from all over the world together to talk about ways to work together to advance reproductive justice issues. That lead to a Ford Foundation grant allowing him to study capacity building for reproductive justice groups in Michigan.
