About
Klara Loc-Ling Boger is a doctoral candidate in the English Language and Literature program and student in the Women’s and Gender Studies graduate certificate program at the University of Michigan. Her current research project investigates narratives of racial deception and racial discovery in late nineteenth and early twentieth century multi-ethnic American literature and their intersection with conceptions of racial inheritance and racial mixture. She argues that these narratives illuminate the contours of settler coloniality, racial reproductions, and comparative and relational racializations. She earned her B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
