Sophia Wushanley

Sophia holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master 1 in Philosophy and Society from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Before pursuing her PhD, Sophia worked as a software engineer.

Her research focuses on information and data ethics and the social and political effects of information technologies. Sophia is interested in how these technologies change our institutions and ways of life, especially where these changes expose truths about our values and what we take to be our political rights.

Sophia is a former Director of MAP International and a current IEEE Data Ethics Ambassador.
